Just over a year ago, the founding editor-in-chief of
Oregon Health News, Diane Lund-Muzikant, left the investigative trade journal saying she was fired. (The dispute is detailed here in
"Surgical Strike".)
Lund-Muzikant eventually sued the organization that oversees the health-care publication, and in August she
settled with the group, Oregon Health Forum.
Last Friday, Lund-Muzikant's replacement, Tim Stumm, announced he was leaving the journal after just 13 months at the helm. "It's no sign of discontent," Stumm says. "I'm happy here, but I got an opportunity back at home." Beginning soon, Stumm will be working for Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle in the governor's communications office.
