Study Finds 22 Percent of Portland Rentals Smokefree



The smoke is clearing from some of the Portland area's residential rental properties. A new report commissioned by the American Lung Association in Oregon and the Portland-Vancouver Metro Area Smokefree Housing Project found that 22 percent of Portland landlords prohibit smoking inside their buildings, compared to 17 percent in 2006.
