P.K. Get your Gun

“Oh yeah, I'm going out and getting a gun, I'm not going out like a bitch!” says a shaken-up P.K.—morning radio host for Jammin 95.5. “I think I'll get a taser first, like the ones that shoot out, but I got to get something to protect myself.”

The Playhouse morning talk show host, along with his staff, spent most of this morning talking about a Vancouver man identified as Andy Chung by KOIN 6 News. Chung drove his white Toyota Corolla into the lobby of the KXL/Jammin 95.5 radio building on Southwest Bancroft Street three times at 1 pm last Friday. No one was injured, but P.K. says everyone on his staff is “nervous as hell.”

Police arrested Chung at his home in Vancouver, Wash., just before a hostile encounter with a reporter from KOIN 6. Chung was sent to undergo mental testing but was released this morning.

P.K. is baffled that Chung is released and declared sane. “I'm so baffled that anyone could say that he's sane. He makes specific death threats against the morning show,” P.K says.

For the last six months, P.K. says the show was receiving threatening emails — the most recent one on Wednesday, March 5 — but they were deleted and regarded as junk.

“Our show is not a political show," P.K. says "I mean yeah, we piss people off, but not to the extent that they want to take action ... This last one was talking about dropping babies in hot oil and cutting our lips off or something. The emails would come in every six months—it wasn't an everyday deal.”

After this morning's Playhouse show, P.K.'s staff found what's believed to be Chung's YouTube page. His latest video is posted three days ago about shows him spray painting a corporate office building.

P.K. says that Chung appears to have a vendetta against Microsoft owner Paul Allen—who owns Rose City Radio, a.k.a Jammin 95.5 and KXL News Radio. Officials at Rose City Radio declined to talk to WW.
