[O MIGHTY JONI] One-woman creative tsunami Rachael Rice—musician, artist, photographer, entrepreneur, Web designer, marketing maven, and creativity coach—roared into town from Vermont last year on the arm of returning old-school PDX folk rocker Dan Haley, quickly making Portland's music community wonder how it got along without her all these years. Tonight's Rice-led tribute to Joni Mitchell—easily short-listed for Greatest Singer-Songwriter Ever, and no multidisciplinary slouch herself—follows a successful earlier, all-female tribute to Mitchell's fellow Canuck Neil Young.
