[PSYCH-ROCK] Bands like Portland’s the We Shared Milk ought to release live albums often. It’s the perfect expansive platform for the many delightfully unexpected turns underground psych-rock tends to take. Fortunately, Eric Ambrosius and Boone Howard are set to release a live record taped at the Banana Stand in Portland. This is to take nothing away from mighty studio efforts like History of Voyager & Legend Tripping, which is scattered, collaborative and experimental in its own way. But there’s something to keeping wildlife in the wild, and the We Shared Milk thrives in open spaces. Proceeds for this show benefit New Avenues for Youth.
