[CANADIAN ASTRO-POP] He looks like Billy Idol, sings like David Byrne and has a synthesizer like Depeche Mode. Diamond Rings is Canadian electro-pop guru (and astrophysics major) John O, and on his critically acclaimed new album, Free Dimensional, he refines the sound of fellow Toronto natives Crystal Castles, playing a cosmic, space-age amalgamation of catchy drum-machine and synth beats paired with seductive lyrics and vocals.
