[HYPNO-COO] Though the untimely demise of Claudia Meza’s Explode Into Colors was only two and a half years ago, Meza’s latest creation, Stay Calm, has since come into its own. Stay Calm sounds a lot like Explode Into Colors, but nobody’s complaining about that, seeing as the latter was voted WW’s Best New Band in 2009. We’re just happy to see Meza in the captain’s chair, bopping around on stage and wailing those same, hypnotic coos against her funky basslines. Parenthetical Girls’ Zac Pennington is no longer on keyboards/percussion, but whatever. Give us más Meza.
