Supersuckers, Burn the Stage

[MANQUÉ-TONK] As an act with punk sensibilities and metal chops who moved to Seattle and signed to Sub Pop during the heyday of grunge (and subsequently deemed themselves “the greatest rockʼnʼroll band in the world”), the Supersuckers were always a bit tricky to classify even before they enlisted Willie Nelsonʼs help on late-life yʼall-ternative forays. After surviving an extended hiatus during frontman Eddie Spaghettiʼs solo projects, the Tucson troupeʼs back to touring its justly lauded live cavalcade of twang, grit and rather less laughs than youʼd expect.
