Vulva Underground (9 pm); Lost Creek Bluegrass (6 pm)

JEFF ROSENBERG
9 pm., Thursday April 18 | Free.
Mississippi Pizza
3552 N Mississippi Ave.

[PUSSY RIOT] Spearheaded by creative force of nature Rachael Rice, the impressively monikered Vulva Underground collective has staged several multi-artist tribute shows in recent months, featuring songs by the likes of Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Simon and Garfunkel. Tonight, though, the VU pays tribute to itself, as its skilled and disparate members share their own songs. Performers include some familiar faces like Mel Kubik and Kris Deelane, some missing-in-action of late, such as Little Sue and Miriams Well, and some artists newer to Portland stages, like vocal powerhouse (and former Ukrainian pop star) Darka Dusty and elastic-voiced Karyn Ann.
