It’s good to see the veteran Portland choral conductor and composer back on the scene after the landslide that claimed his house awhile back. Recently named music director of the city’s community bell ensemble, he’ll lead both groups in his own choral setting of Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “The Bells,” along with other works for bells, voices and violin by Arvo Pärt, Dave Brubeck, J.S. Bach and more.
