Resonance Ensemble

BRETT CAMPBELL
7:30 pm Saturday and 7 pm Sunday, May 11-12., Saturday May 11 | $11-$22.
Alberta Rose Theatre
3000 NE Alberta St.

Think classical music is entirely chaste? The top-tier choir comprising many of the best choral singers in town brings its season to a rousing, ah, climax with a program that explores musical depictions of passion’s pinnacle through the centuries—from operatic scenes by Verdi and Wagner that not so subtly portray le petit mort to tension-and-release solos, duets and choral works by composers including Mozart, Pergolesi and more. Pianist Jon Stuber accompanies and painter Thérèse Murdza contributes an original painting on display, based on the orgasmic theme. Saturday’s concert is at Lewis & Clark’s Agnes Flanagan Chapel (0615 SW Palatine Hill Road).
