Both releasing new books with local publisher Tin House, Matthew Specktor and Jodi Angel will read from their work. Specktor’s novel American Dream Machine follows two talent agents and their three troubled sons, exploring the relationship between fathers and sons as well as the changing landscape of American life through the illusions of Hollywood. Angel also explores the lives of young men in her collection of stories You Only Get Letters From Jail, focusing on the brief time between boyhood and manhood and its accompanying dreams and failures.
