National Food Day Celebration

7-9 pm., Thursday October 24 | Free.
McMenamins Kennedy School
5736 NE 33rd Ave.

It’s that time of year again, when we get around the ol’ Food Day tree and sing carols in commemoration of the day we first ate food, so many millions of years ago. There’ll be seed swapping, and then it’s time for the raffle. They used to call the raffle “the lottery” until the “progressives” got to complainin’ and banned the lottery altogether. They don’t know it still happens in some parts. What they don’t know won’t hurt them.
