[KINGS OF THE VALLEY] Anyone who grew up in the Corvallis rock scene wondered when Brady Greig and Brady Chambers would finally combine their powers. Blood Cobra is the result—possibly the most traditional and capable metal act Corvallis has yet produced. Mark France’s technical guitar playing is the x-factor in this stew of Maiden worship. I’m probably not supposed to reveal how much Dokken and Krokus these guys were weaned on. Following them up the Willamette comes Arcweld, the longest running punk band from the golden age of "Hardcorvallis." This show celebrates the release of Arcweld’s latest album, Black Mass Riviera, which came out in October and is still smoldering with noise and brimstone.
