Ann Patchett

PENELOPE BASS
7:30 pm, Wednesday November 20 | $75 subscription required.

Ann Patchett’s 2001 novel, Bel Canto, put her on the map with an M.O. that includes characters forging familylike bonds through arduous circumstances and life lessons learned through poetically tragic means (The Magician’s Assistant, The Patron Saint of Liars). Her newest novel, State of Wonder, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in fiction. Patchett will appear as part of the Literary Arts lecture series, for which she was the most requested author from last year’s audience surveys.
