CoHo’s first production of 2014 is Toshiki Okada’s elliptical, unconventional portrait of underemployed hipsters at a Tokyo cafe. This isn’t just Japanese mumblecore: Okada, the artistic director of the internationally lauded Chelfitsch Theatre Company, is a skilled chronicler of ennui, able to turn the mundane into the lyrical.
