[GARAGE] Back in 2003, Dub Narcotic Sound System bassist Chris Sutton started Hornet Leg as a four-track side project with an openness to adaptation and evolution. The project’s numerous releases can be found among the catalogs of local and regional favorites K Records, Dolo, Stankhouse and Hovercraft. The current lineup features Robert Kometz of Marriage and Cancer on drums, fleshing out the creative mindset to elevate the ambitions of the garage rock revival beyond getting drunk with your skateboard bros. Stream-of-consciousness lyrics delivered via a cappella chants are interspersed between punk rhythms and quirky sound effects. Austin-based desert wanderers Those Howlings stop by for a set sure to revel in its simplistic bass-drums-guitar setup.
