[ART PROG] If you thought Sama Dams was too quirky to ever make it outside Portland, you’re about to be proven wrong. The trio led by Portland’s second-most-famous Sam Adams has a national tour in the works, as well as a follow-up to its excellent last record, No Vengeance. And if the songs they’ve been previewing at recent shows are any indication, the new album looks to be an even more eclectic mix of off-kilter but tuneful rock. At this Bunk Bar show, the band’s last before it hits the road, Adams and company will be joined by Zula, a Brooklyn psych-pop group making its own tour of the country, as well as Portland’s own one-man-band Hands In.
