Rob Zombie

GRACE STAINBACK
8 pm, Monday September 08 | Sold out.
Roseland Theater
8 NW 6th Ave.

[KING OF HORROR] One distinct memory of the "scary" '90s movies I used to rent from Hollywood Video is the opening scene of Bride of Chucky, in which Jennifer Tilly sews together mangled doll parts to the tune of Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl." Mr. Zombie, of course, has gone on to make films of his own (he resurrected the Halloween franchise), as well as comic books, and with last year’s inaugural Great American Nightmare—a haunted house-meets-music festival spectacle inspired by the movies he's directed—proved that the spooky industrial metal he's been churning out since his days with White Zombie is now inextricable from the visual experience that accompanies it. Unsurprisingly, this show is sold out, so outside of Craigslist check out the following night’s show in Eugene.
