Make It Pop 2011: Laura Veirs, Eric Earley, Laura Gibson, Israel Nebecker, DJ Jeremy Petersen

6:30 pm, Thursday April 28 | $35 GA, $70 VIP
Ace Cleaners
403 SW 10th Ave.
[PDX POP FOREVER] So, the first thing you’re going to notice about this show is that $35 cover charge. And you’re gonna go “Yowza!” But just think—and imagine I’m using my telethon voice for this one, because I really want to sell this—of all you’ll be getting for your contribution. You get the two finest musicians named Laura this city has to offer in an intimate setting. You get the very shy and very handsome dudes from Blitzen Trapper and Blind Pilot trying out new songs. You get the snacks from Beast. You get the desserts from 50 Licks and Bakery Bar. You get all this plus a DJ set from Jeremy “Rock You Like a Hurricane” Petersen from OPB Music. And you know what else you get? You get the piece of mind of knowing, in these changing times, that you’re helping local nonprofit PDX Pop Now! to keep doing good work in the community and to keep putting on the greatest free, all-ages annual music festival in the world. How was that for selling it? I’ll see you there.

Where: Ace Cleaners
Address: 403 SW 10th Ave.
