DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:

[DANCE DANCE EVOLUTION] For an act whose earliest incarnation helped birth today’s indie-dance maelstrom—Justice versus Simian’s “We Are Your Friends” universally considered the missing link between concert and club—Simian Mobile Disco hasn’t exactly acted the part of jungle VIPs. However, respected for their engineering and production work for other artists, James Ford and Jas Shaw’s past releases veered between slavishly crowd-pleasing electro thrill rides overstuffed with guest vocalists and defiantly minimalist exercises in house-building. But with recently released third full-length, Unpatterns (as with similarly styled, just-dropped EP A Form of Change), the U.K. duo is starting to successfully mate intelligent design with more primal urges.
