DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:

[ANALOG SAVIOR] A Southern California kid raised on Black Flag, Ty Segall was not the obvious choice to lead the garage-rock revival. According to an interview with Sound Opinions, Segall wasn’t even familiar with Roky Erickson—the vintage psych-rocker whose spirit Segall embodies today—until he moved to San Francisco. The multi-instrumentalist and songwriter has become one of the most active around, putting out three releases via three different bands this year alone. His newest solo effort, Twins, was written for the Bay Area, a region that has offered Segall much in the form of inspiration and collaboration. It seems with every fuzzed-out release, Segall cements himself further as the frontman of an entire genre.
