[HITCHCOCKIAN ROCK] Brent Knopf’s Ramona Falls ought to tour four or five times under every record. The Portland band’s innovative indie rock is deserving of several passes, often taking on entirely new meanings from one season to the next. Last year, the four-piece released Prophet, a sincere, naturally cascading collection of crystalline modern rock. Make no mistake, Ramona Fall is its own entity. But if Knopf brought anything over from his stint in Menomena, it’s that endearing sense of musical suspense, bolstered by chilling piano riffs, that keeps the listener stapled to every note.
