[TWO DAYS ONLY, REVIVAL] The recently deceased Les Blank was well known for his documentaries about American regional music, but the idiosyncratic filmmaker covered a wider range of subjects. The NW Film Center pays homage to Blank by screening two films: 1980’s Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers (7 pm Friday, July 19), an ode to the fragrant plant and those who love it, and 1982’s Burden of Dreams (8:45 pm Friday and 7 pm Saturday, July 19-20), about the production of Werner Herzog’s Peruvian epic, Fitzcarraldo.
