Jane Lubchenco, chief administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has cancelled her lecture that had been scheduled for tonight at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. BP Plugs Leak Temporarily

BP announced today that no new oil is leaking into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time in the nearly three months since the Deepwater Horizon exploded on April 20. However, BP says the plug is only a temporary test of the well's structure and that it will reopen the leak within 48 hours to let ships on the surface continue collecting oil.
