Thurman Street Collective

2384 NW Thurman St., 971-803-7970, thurmancollective.com. 10 am-10 pm Monday-Saturday, 10 am-8 pm Sunday.

Few dispensaries blend so seamlessly into their surrounding neighborhood as this natty little nook of Slabtown. Sandwiched between a bougie deli and the now-shuttered midday-only artisanal cookie bakery, Thurman Street is filled with local art—from the street, you might think it's just an art gallery. The lobby includes some really beautiful carved-wood bowls suitable for the coffee table, not bowls as in pipes. Inside, the shop has flower, some light edibles and pre-roll holders carved from exotic woods by a neighborhood artist that retail for $30. Popular strains include Obama Kush and Space Kase, which is advertised as offering a functional daytime buzz, perfect for pregaming a shopping trip to the co-op grocery store across the street. Flower runs about $15 per gram, including taxes, and is double-packaged with a teeny-tiny Ziploc inside a gold plastic tube.
