As Many as 10 People Killed in Mass Shooting at Umpqua Community College

A gunman has shot as many as 20 people on the campus of Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore.

Oregon State Police told multiple media outlets that 10 people were killed this morning at the school. The number of deaths has not been confirmed.

UPDATE, 1:15 pm: Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum has told NBC News that 13 people are dead on campus, including the shooter.

UPDATE, 6:15 pm: Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin says 10 people are dead, including the 26-year-old gunman. President Barack Obama decried the massacre as a result of the nation's lax control laws.
