Oregon Murder Suspect, Deported Six Times, Draws the Interest of Donald Trump

Man arrested for triple murder in Marion County had bounced back and forth over Mexican border. Not on my watch, Trump says.

A man accused of triple murder in Oregon this week regularly crossed back and forth over the Mexican border, federal officials say.

That news has drawn the notice of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who is using the alleged killer's deportations as fodder for his campaign against illegal immigration.

Federal officials tell KXL radio that the Woodburn man arrested this week for killing three people and wounding a fourth at a Marion County farm June 27 had been deported six times previously.

Bonifacio Oseguera-Gonzalez, 29, is being held in Marion County jail on three counts of aggravated murder.

Here's the statement a federal Immigration and Customs enforcement spokesman gave KXL.

Trump, whose campaign has centered on warnings about criminals crossing into the United States from Mexico, quickly seized on the news this morning, sending out a tweet.

"These crimes won't be happening if I'm elected POTUS," Trump wrote. "Killer should have never been here. "

UPDATE, 12:11 pm: KXL talk radio host Lars Larson tells WW he sent the story about Oseguera-Gonzalez to Trump campaign staffers.

"It makes me mad, because this is what happens when you let people keep coming back into the country," Larson says. "This is a signature issue in the presidential race. Donald Trump has brought it to the forefront in a way that nobody ever has. But I've been talking about this for 20 years. My theory has always been, if you're breaking half a dozen laws, you're not going to worry about breaking a couple more."
