But it's there, my friends, and ready when you have a weekend craving for grilled cheese and $3.50 microbrews. The inside of the bar is nice as well, with dark corners, comfy booths and DJs spinning every Monday night. Night Light is even the rare Portland bar that works for date night, with a menu that's at once fancy (the $10 Night Burrito contains scrambled eggs and duck confit), homey (buffalo stew) and a bit absurd.
What to drink: The Mrs. Robinson (dry English gin, lemon and sage).
Happy hour: $1.50 PBR, $3.50 microbrews, $1 off wine; 3-7 pm and 11 pm-1 am daily.
Entertainment: DJ, pool, jukebox.
