Cheap Eats 2005

This Mexican restaurant does the normal fare just fine. Burritos ($4.50-$6.50) and tacos ($5.50-$6.50) are stuffed with high-quality meats, and the ingredients are fresh enough to suggest there's a garden back there somewhere, but they lack adventure. To see what the folks at Pico can do, tread less familiar territory with the Cuban sandwich ($5.25), an unimpressive-looking meal that turns out to be soaked through with flavor and a dollop of some of the best guac in town.
