Cheap Eats 2005

Subcontinental standbys such as chicken tikka masala ($9.95) are tender and flavorful here, and the tandoori mixed grill ($15.95 for the full-meal-deal thali option), which includes the fabulous tandoori halibut, can easily feed two. But the real grub bargains are the masala dosas ($5-$5.50), huge lentil-flour crêpes stuffed with vegetable curry. The lunchtime buffet ($6.95) is another deal, with a range of offerings that leaves others' dull dal in the dust. (IG)
