Cheap Eats 2010

This Clinton-area Italian house has been quietly churning out solid, tasty plates of pasta and hot, bubbly pizza ($12-$18) and pouring glasses of inexpensive vino for its neighbors since 2005. Owner Mary Ann Archambault welcomes everybody with a smile and a big serving of penne topped with a super-fresh emerald pesto ($9) or a light, lemony tangle of noodles, chicken and white wine cream sauce, studded with capers ($12). The house soups are often rich and comforting and the meatball sub ($8), a Little T loaf smothered in spicy marinara and toothsome meatballs, could make a regular outta you.
