Portland Schools Advocates Resurrect Campaign Fund

Portland Public Schools' kids

The Portland School Board votes tonight whether to refer a $548 million construction bond measure to voters this May.

But supporters of the construction bond, including board member Bobbie Regan, have already started raising money under the auspices of “Portlanders for Schools,” the campaign fund that supported the successful 2006 local-option levy.

Besides Regan—who gave $1,000 to the campaign last week—Nike has donated $10,000 to the fund.
