New Oregon Unemployment Numbers Are Out

The March unemployment rate in Oregon of 12.1 percent (since revised to 11.9 percent) set an unfortunate record at the time for job misery in the state. The April unemployment numbers released today of 12.0 percent at least aren't a continued free fall, though they're more than double the 5.6 percent rate from a year ago and well above the most recent 8.9 percent nationally.
