New and Incoming

La Moule

2500 SE Clinton St.

This new venture from the team behind the original St. Jack—plus bartender Tommy Klus—is a mussels, frites, waffles and burger bar that opened in September in the former Savoy Tavern, done up in a dirty-'70s disco blue.

180 and Chesa

2200 NE Broadway

Jose Chesa and Christina Baez of Ataula plan two spots in the former Irvington location of Skyline Burgers by the end of 2015: a churros and chocolate bar called 180, and a paella restaurant called Chesa.

Epif Restaurant & Pisco Lounge

404 NE 28th Ave.

In a tiny building across from Stammtisch, native Chileans Jose "Pepe" Arancibia and partner Nicolle Dirks will launch a vegetarian South American restaurant.

Pine Street Market

133 SW Pine St.

Feast festivalorganizer Mike Thelin and partners will make a downtown food court with fancy things: Marukin Ramen from Japan, Olympia Provisions hot dogs, a Hopworks pretzels and beer joint, and a toast spot from Ken's Artisan are all expected, along with an Asian fusion from former Paley's Place chef Patrick McKee, backed by PaaDee's Earl Ninsom.

Arrosto and Providore Fine Foods

2340 NE Sandy Blvd.

Next to the Ocean, expect a City Market-style food marketplace from Pastaworks, with an Italian brick-oven spot called Arrosto, with rotisserie chicken.

Stray Dogs/Bird/TBA

2329 NE Glisan St.

On the backside of the Ocean food complex, itinerant fancy hot dog and Korean bird chefs Peter Cho and Johnny Leach will open an as-yet-unnamed and undescribed restaurant.

Tastebud Pizza

7783 SW Capitol Highway

The farmers market staple will return with a brick-and-mortar, serving up bagels, chicken and char-crusted pizza out of a big-ass Mugnaini wood-fired oven.

Willow (TBD)

The lease was still being negotiated at press time, but pop-up chefs Doug Weiler and John Pickett will make very fancy, seasonal-focused, Cascadian modernist cuisine.

Hat Yai

1605 NE Killingsworth St.

Langbaan and PaaDee's Earl Ninsom and St. Jack bartender Alan Akwai will team up for a Southern Thai restaurant: fried chicken, roti and Thai coffee drinks.

Pizza Jerk

5028 NE 42nd Ave.

Pizza. From Bunk's Tommy Habetz. Simple 18-inch pies with toppings

like "sausage" and "meatball," alongside white clam and porchetta pizzas. Boom.

Olympia Oyster Bar

4214 N Mississippi Ave.

San Diego chefs Maylin Chavez and Melissa Mayer will open their long-awaited upscale oyster bar, which will also serve clams, mussels, crab and shrimp.
