The Eastside Location of Israeli-Focused Shalom Y’all Doesn’t Live Up to its Pedigree

Part of the Toro Bravo empire, Shalom Y’all’s new eastside location—opened in February in the former Taylor Railworks space—features the lengthy menus of small plates, appetizers and entrees Gorham’s restaurants are known for.

The Hummus at Aviv. Oh God, the Hummus at Aviv. It Is Perfect.

My favorite is the spicy, with fiery green zhoug—a perfect blend of cilantro, garlic, cloves and green jalapenos.

Tusk Is a Generational Restaurant. Aviv Made Me Realize That.

My personal favorite of the new wave of meat-free restaurants is Aviv, the new vegan Israeli spot from the Gonzo food truck’s Tal Caspi.

Mediterranean Exploration Company

This Israeli-slash-Mediterranean restaurant is probably the best Mediterranean restaurant the city has ever seen.
