That freeze apparently extends to Portland. Around 40 percent of 1,200 Washington and Oregon residents polled last month by Seattle-based Pemco Insurance, Seattle Times first reported, said making friends isn’t important to them. 49 percent of pollsters said they weren’t interested in interacting with people they do know, either.
