The state’s biggest celebration of craft ales and lagers once again takes hold of the waterfront this week, bringing together longtime enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Beyond that sea of warm weather beers and board shorts, there are numerous other chances to taste the finest beers the region has to offer this week, including special collaboration releases, as well as the 10th anniversary of one of the city’s most iconic and universally beloved beer bars.

Oregon Brewers Festival

The biggest and oldest beer festival in the state is also the best place to bring a bourgeoning craft beer junkie, as more than 80,000 friends, enemies, and strangers “Woo” their way through the heat to try a massive selection of craft beer from all over the nation. Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Naito Parkway between SW Harrison St. & NW Glisan St. 12-9 pm July 26-29, 12-7 pm July 30. Free entry, souvenir mug $7, tasting tokens $1.

Lompoc Collaboration Release

After a year, Lompoc finally lets loose its collaborations with The Netherlands’ Oproer Brouwerij, a series of fruit-laden, barrel-aged beers with blackberry, peach, and raspberry. Three of Oproer’s own beers, a CDA, imperial oatmeal stout, and session IPA will also be on hand, a rare treat for those of us without the scratch for a ticket to the continent. Firestone Walker Anniversary Vertical

Bailey’s Taproom celebrates its birthday-eve with five of Firestone Walker’s specially blended anniversary ales, each of which was blended by a team of California vintners as part of a longstanding competition inside the brewery. Extremely complex, high-alcohol ales that age impeccably up to about the five year mark, this is a rare opportunity that lovers of dark beer shouldn’t miss. Bailey’s Taproom, 213 SW Broadway. 12 pm. CBD Radler Night

Bend’s Ablis will mix its CBD-infused sodas with the awesome Tin Bucket taplist tonight, creating an assortment of CBD-laced radlers that will turn even the worst of the mid-week slumps around. Tin Bucket, 3520 N Williams Ave. 5 pm. Free.
