Oregon Brewers Festival
The biggest and oldest beer festival in the state is also the best place to bring a bourgeoning craft beer junkie, as more than 80,000 friends, enemies, and strangers “Woo” their way through the heat to try a massive selection of craft beer from all over the nation. Lompoc Collaboration Release
After a year, Lompoc finally lets loose its collaborations with The Netherlands’ Oproer Brouwerij, a series of fruit-laden, barrel-aged beers with blackberry, peach, and raspberry. Three of Oproer’s own beers, a CDA, imperial oatmeal stout, and session IPA will also be on hand, a rare treat for those of us without the scratch for a ticket to the continent. Firestone Walker Anniversary Vertical
Bailey’s Taproom celebrates its birthday-eve with five of Firestone Walker’s specially blended anniversary ales, each of which was blended by a team of California vintners as part of a longstanding competition inside the brewery. Extremely complex, high-alcohol ales that age impeccably up to about the five year mark, this is a rare opportunity that lovers of dark beer shouldn’t miss. Bailey’s Taproom, 213 SW Broadway. 12 pm. CBD Radler Night
