Cheap Eats 2008

Here's what we really love about Pizza-A-Go-Go: the mod pizzeria always has several by-the-slice options ($2.50-$3.50), vegan- and veggie-friendly included, so it's a great place to eat alone or with a group. There's also a well-stocked newspaper/magazine pile, loud music and several taps ($2-$4) and wines by the glass to keep solo diners entertained in the bite-sized dining room. 12- and 18-inch pies ($11.75-$26.75) are available in-house or by delivery. Toppings for the thin, gravity-defying crust range from standard tomato sauce to chipotle tomato, vegan basil pesto and vegan cashew. Bus your own and be on your pizza-faced way. (LC)
