Drink 2008

Kells is an Irish pub with character—from the European football memorabilia to the twisted dollar bills tacked onto the ceiling—it's a classic Portland establishment. Or would be, anyway, if it weren't part of a multistate chain. Kells hugs its visitors with warmth, live Celtic folk music and a strong Irish coffee. It's a family place but with enough spunk to find a few visitors singing along to the music. Cocktails like the Penalty Kicker are sweet and pack a punch. The downstairs is dedicated to its extensive cigar collection so you can smoke in style.
Perfect Patron: Jocky soccer fans with families. (SK)
HAPPY HOUR 4-7 PM MONDAY-FRIDAY: $3 FOOD. SMOKE-FREE, CIGAR/SMOKING LOUNGE DOWNSTAIRS, LIVE MUSIC, TELEVISION.
