PDX Pop Now! Starts! Today!

As of this writing, you have four hours until the first band—Jared Mees & The Grown Children—takes the stage at the 2011 edition of the PDX Pop Now Festival! Taking place all weekend at Refuge PDX (at 116 SE Yamhill), the free, all-ages music event boasts a lineup that marks it as one of the best PPNs to date.

Today, alone, they bring the joyous pop of The Minders (10:15 p.m.), the double drum fury of STLS (6:40 p.m.), one of the city's best hip-hop outfits The Chicharones (11:30 p.m.), and a headlining set by WW's Best New Band for the year, And And And (12:10 a.m.).

Live out of town? Work obligations? Paralyzed from the neck down and housebound and can't make it to the fest? Well, PDX Pop Now have you covered. They'll be streaming every set from the outside stage here. You can also follow our play by play reports from the event on the Local Cut Twitter feed.

And if you can make it, we'll see you there!
