But as WW reported, there's effort underway to try and revive the project in some form, as evidenced by the CRC's continued progress in applying for permits and complete other necessary work to build the $3.5 billion megaproject, despite Washington's Senate rejecting a transportation funding package that contained any money for it.
And today, the project's website has a whole new message. It's got no mention of the CRC closing down. Instead, "questions related to the project" should be directed to the Oregon or Washington departments of transportation:
