When it opened in the Hollywood District in 2001, Laurelwood instantly became a destination for beer fans and families. The genius here has always been the pub's ability to provide a setting that works for both adults and kids. The larger space, opened in 2007, has employed some excellent brewers over the years, and the list of standards and seasonals reflects that reality. Laurelwood also has one of the sneakiest and most unlikely rooftop patios in town; on sunny days you can walk in to find the brewpub seemingly empty, only to discover the whole world on the roof.

HAPPY HOUR: 3-6 pm and 9 pm-close daily. $4 pints, $5 wine, food specials.
