Since Portland's Spring Fashion show's have been a bit weak this season (Adam Arnold's show a few weeks ago, and then only a smattering of boutique events and trunk shows here and there) we're itching to see what Anna Cohen, Suzi Johnson of Souchi, swimwear titans Jantzen, Michelle DeCourcy plus Finn Clothing have on their design plates for Spring/Summer and Fall 2007. Expect a lot of beautifully draped, moveable separates from eco-couturier Cohen (see photo below).
Ultra-luxe knit cardigans and girly ruffles and bows from Souchi, glamazon, low-cut swimwear from Jantzen, flowy, feminine frocks by DeCourcy and tailored menswear from Finn. Get the first glimpse tomorrow night (Saturday, April 28) at the second annual Catwalk Fashion Event. Looks like the folks behind the whole shin-dig are going balls out: the "Master of Ceremonies" for the evening is none other than Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier, DJ Muu-Muu will spin at the VIP Partay and DJ Nature (hailing from Seattle) will spin post-show at the Bubble Lounge. Should the line-up fail to satisfy your sartorial cravings, travel packages to various fashion capitals of the world will be auctioned off—and you don't even have to feel guilty about your high bidding tendencies—all proceeds from the show benefit Boost Foundation, an organization that seeks to empower at-risk youth and further their creative development. So it's a win/win situation.
$85, (including dinner, cocktails and valet) Henry V, 6369 NE MLK, 8:30 pm, fashion shows begins at 9:00 pm.
