Best of the Bulletins: Panther Joins Ratatat Tour, Newspapers Break Up, White Fang Yard Sale, DJ Koolaid in Remix Contest

breaking bulletins

ITEM #1: Panther/Ratatat

Panther polaroid First up (or first awake, anyway, as it was posted in the wee hours of the morning) is Panther, who has just joined the Ratatat tour alongside Portland's own electronic king E*Rock (brother to Ratatat's Evan Mast). What did Panther have to say? The duo/trio kept it short and sweet:

just last Wednesday we were talking to Joe

ITEM #2: Newspapers Call it Quits

Newspapers

Yesterday afternoon I overheard a series of phone calls that made it seem as though Newspapers were in peril, especially when the quartet canceled its Top Down show at Hotel Deluxe at the last minute. Now the jangly PDX indie poppers have confirmed its split via a Myspace:

ITEM #3: White Fang Yard Sale

WHT FNG Rollercoaster
LC favorite White Fang posted its bulletin right before last night's show at Holocene alongside Doubledutch and Breakfast Mountain, but it wasn't to promote the show. Instead its about an (obviously) open to the public yard sale and show happening this Saturday at SK8 and Rhone near the Aladdin Theater:

ITEM #4: Koolaid Remixes

Koolaid
After a very successful FNDNCPRTY this past Wednesday at Satyricon, DJ Koolaid is scaling even further heights with two entries in a last.fm remix contest for the band Ultra Violet:
