In eight seasons coaching the University of Oregon's women's basketball team, Jody Runge took her team to the NCAA tournament eight times and won two PAC-10 titles. Any male coach who achieved similar success would be now pulling down a seven-figure salary and hiding from all the boosters vying to shower him with their appreciation.
But Runge, as an article in the current issue of ESPN The Magazine chronicles, is running a B and B in Northeast Portland, because nobody will hire her.
