The Oregon Liquor Control Commission has inactivated the liquor-license application for Diamonds Gentlemen's Club because the Laurelhurst strip club's operators won't provide information about who owns it.
WW revealed last month that one of those owners was arrested last July on suspicion of promoting prostitution and money laundering at two spas he owns in Spokane.
The Oregonian reported Thursday that the OLCC has temporarily set aside the application because Diamonds' owners wouldn't provide documents the liquor board requested.
Today, OLCC spokeswoman Christie Scott says that the applicant, Jinky Westover of Vancouver, Wash., hasn't replied to the OLCC's requests for "information about the corporation, information about the business structure, and information about who is on the lease."
Scott says the OLCC could re-open the file if Westover provides those documents.
Jinky Westover is married to William Ray Westover, who was arrested last July in "Operation Red Light," an 11-agency prostitution sting in Spokane. WW reported details of the allegations regarding his businesses here.
As WW reported then, William Ray Westover is listed on the lease for the Diamonds building, located at 3390 NE Sandy Blvd.
