Cheap Eats 2008

Less than 5 years old, Genies is mature beyond its age and it's already one of the coolest places to be seen waiting for your Saturday-morning recovery brunch. You'll be starving by the time you're seated, and euphoric when you finally taste the veggie scramble ($8.25) with artichoke hearts or the Applewood eggs Benedict ($8.50) with local bacon. While the weekend lines are unavoidable, they are made tolerable by the large, luxurious waiting room equipped with couches and coffee for the hungover and a bar for the still-drunk. (JG)
