Sleekly decorated Milo’s maintains a great breakfast rep, but this casual cafe’s lunch and dinner options are well worth investigating. A serving of their chunky Hungarian mushroom soup ($3.50 for a cup, $5.50 for a bowl) or the spinach salad ($5-$7), dressed with a light lemony vinaigrette with just the right tang, make simple, satisfying meals on their own. Featured evening selections include a variety of $8.95 sandwich-and-side plates, among which the playfully layered shrimp bruschetta stands out. Butternut-squash ravioli with hazelnuts and feta ($7.95) is so tasty that just a couple of bites will have you planning your next visit. (LA)
