Beer Guide 2015: Deception

Deception

1174 SW Highway 99W, Dundee, 971-832-8054, deceptionbrewingco.com. 5-9 pm Monday and Thursday, 5-11 pm Friday, noon-11 pm Saturday, noon-9 pred oxm Sunday.

[LOCAL SPOT] It takes a lot of beer to make wine, the saying goes, and Deception is well-positioned to help the marquee industry in Dundee. Located right on U.S. 99W, it's easy to find and easier to appreciate—take the Dundee Hills Pale Ale, a light-bodied American pale with a dry, lightly citrus flavor. The cubicle-sized tasting room has massive TVs, making it a great place to watch sports, and is clearly a local favorite, since half the tables were reserved on my visit. If you're looking for a snack after a long day in the fields, get the fries made with Rogue blue cheese and topped with fresh parsley and garlic, paired with the Apricot Cream Ale.

DRINK THIS: Apricot Cream Ale. Creamy apricotty.
